Lisa Nikole Photography| Wine Tasty | Moscato | Image Of The Week

Thursday, April 18th, 2013

I’ve become a wine drinker, I used to drink White Zinfandel until I was shopping at Whole Foods and the Wine Guy sorta of in a very nice way told me it was the bottom of the bottom of the bottom of wines. WHAT?

Then an officer told me of an amazing restaurant in the Hill area, so we went. Restaurant, not so good, wine.. amazing. This was the first time I had a Moscato wine and it was amazing, and at $28.00 a bottle (because I bought one) it should be.

Then, on a recent trip home I found the same wine for half the cost at a local store. Since then I’ve bought close to 12 bottles and had them brought back home…. So my image of the week goes to this amazing wine, if you ever find it local let me know and make sure you buy a bottle for yourself because it’s amazing!

Lisa Nikole Stumbles On A Small Town | Annada Missouri POP 25

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

I took a detour a few months ago coming home from Quincy Ill, I drove along the Missouri River on Hwy 79.  It’s a long drive but there are so many amazing sites and then I spoted this sign

I was on my way last month to find the Eagles and I remembered this small town.  I had to go back and take a few pictures of the sign and sit and imagine what it would be like to live in such a small town.  Talk about everyone knowing what you are doing.  WOW!

Here is some wiki information on Annada

So I wonder what happened to those 4 people that left the town since 2010. What do they do for a living? What do they do for fun? Where do they go to school?

So many questions.. I’ll need to go back to Annada to find some people and ask a few questions… Stay tuned.

Missouri’s Special Olympics | Lisa Nikole Photography | Polar Plunge

Friday, March 22nd, 2013

This year I had the honor of photographing the Polar Plunge that happens every year in Lake St. Louis.

I had to remind myself that this was a fund raiser and that a lot of these people were in Law Enforcement.

I can’t get beyond crazy and trust me they did not like me saying that.

I mean, how many of you would plunge yourself into freezing cold water? Not I, but I sure will photograph you.

After watching more then 200 people do this, I almost thought it was not that bad, but it was soooooo COLD and kept getting colder and colder as the day went on.

Honestly, what a great group of people the Special Olympics have that they would attempt and complete such a feat for an incredible cause.

I’m not sure I’ll ever plunge, but I sure have some great ideas to get some awesome pictures.. next year!

Thanks so much to the Committee, Mary Wheeler, Chief Harrison and all those that gave me a thumbs up to shoot this event

I just had to share the day with you… here’s a video for you to enjoy!
