Senior Portraits are so much fun and here is so much excitement that happens on a shoot, between capturing the real visible person and also making sure you know the direction this person has and making sure it’s presented in the image. From Senior Graduates to College Graduates life is just beginning for them and I want to make sure I give them a lasting memory to carry with them.

Monday, February 4th, 2013I woke up the morning of their shoot and thought, NO WAY! There was more Fog then on the movie The Fog! Through a few phone calls it was decided no matter what, we are doing the shoot. I’m up for any challenge but, shooting a portrait family session in fog, well.. all I could think of was “zombies”
As I drove through the towns to our destination, the fog was thick, traffic was crazy and I kept thinking… lighting and how to.
I arrived in St Peters to find an area without fog, and instead my nemesis the sun was making an appearance, I think I’d trade back to the fog.
The family was great, the session amazing and the photo’s.. loved!

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013It is a cruel, ironical art, photography. The dragging of captured moments into the future; moments that should have been allowed to be evaporate into the past; should exist only in memories, glimpsed through the fog of events that came after. Photographs force us to see people before their future weighed them down – Kate Morton
Should moments be allowed to pass without photographing them?
What’s your opinion? If not all what might be some that we should allow to pass?
