Trust

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

The definition of trust is: The belief in something that is true and trustworthy.

Synonyms are: assurance, certainty, certitude, confidence, conviction, credence, credit, dependence, entrustment, expectation, faith, gospel truth, hope, positiveness, reliance, stock, store and sureness!

When my grandson comes to visit, he and his PaPaw love to play a special game and I love to photograph it.

Today I was editing the pictures from one such visit and I realized how much Ami must trust his PaPaw, I mean really really TRUST his PaPaw. Even us on the outside watching are not sure we trust PaPaw as much as Ami does.

Jim used to play this game with each of our kids in different ways, but the main result was always the same, tons of giggles, lots of laughing and a ton of TRUST. To trust that PaPaw is not going to let Ami fall also takes some faith.

You can see it in Ami’s eyes, and the huge smile on his face and the laughter that comes out of his belly. Ami trusts, loves and has faith in his PaPaw!

Ami believes that no matter what PaPaw is not going to hurt him. He’s not going to fall, he’s not going to get hurt, because PaPaw has Ami’s trust.

Did Jim have to earn Ami’s trust or because of the love Jim has for Ami that trust and faith was just instinctively there? I’m voting on the later! Ami just knows that he knows that he knows, that Ami is safe! Ami just relaxes and enjoys the “ride”. He smiles, laughs and enjoys every moment even asking for more (up,up,up,go,go,go)

I ask my brides to have that same kind of trust in me. I know I’m going to capture the emotion and intimate details of their wedding day. I want my brides not to worry about their photography. It’s covered.

I love what I do, and it shows!

A bag, a blog and a friend..

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Today I was checking out my friends blogs, I do that, you know, I check them out. I support them and I post comments!

Amanda is my friend and when I read her blog today, I almost posted a blog about it but thought to wait just a bit and I’m glad I did.

Amanda is Living Proof Photography and her blog started with this really cute picture, actually I thought it was a strange picture till I read her blog, Amanda was submitting this picture to win a Shootsac through an amazing company called MCP Actions

I knew as soon as I saw the picture Amanda was a winner.

Later that day MCP Actions posted the top 10 or so that she chose to send over to Jessica at Shootsac. Amanda was in the top 10!!!

So tonight Jessica Claire picked a winner and it was my buddy Amanda!

Amanda and I hung out for a few days in New York last year for the David Jay Freedom Seminar. She actually drove all over NY and even into Brooklyn! We had a good time and I’m so happy for her.

So here’s to you Amanda!

CONGRATULATIONS, GIRL!!!! Woot Woot !!

Earlier today I received an email telling me about a new beta release of Safari 4. I’m not real big on beta so I sort of looked at it and closed it out.

Tonight I was sitting here avoiding doing my taxes and thought….hmmm….Safari beta 4. So, I downloaded it.

Now that was a trick for me, because I love to hit the remind me later button on my updates and I had to install 12 updates in order to install Safari.

What happened next were these words: WOOOWWW!!!!

My Safari looked like a cinema, with 12 tiny windows and in each of those windows was my most searched websites. Now I had to edit a few, and I really wanted to argue a few also with my Mac, but I had a feeling I would lose so, I just hit edit and changed them to what I felt they should be!

How fun! SO now, I click on a window and my website comes to me, full page and updated! Oh I am going to so love this for my forums and facebook!

I checked out this tutorial: HERE
and I learned a few other things.

It’s built for SPEED!
It’s got an amazing Search engine that flips pages like IPhoto
It has tabs!!
And more developer tools for Web Developing
Plus more then 150 other features
and if your a Windows user it has some nice features for you also…

So check it out, Safari 4 has become my new best friend! Safari 4 Beta and I are going to get some exploring going on!
WOOOOWWWWW!
